Mitigating Hallucination with ZeroG: An Advanced Knowledge Management Engine

arXiv.org Artificial Intelligence

The growth of digital documents presents significant challenges in efficient management and knowledge extraction. Traditional methods often struggle with complex documents, leading to issues such as hallucinations and high latency in responses from Large Language Models (LLMs). ZeroG, an innovative approach, significantly mitigates these challenges by leveraging knowledge distillation and prompt tuning to enhance model performance. ZeroG utilizes a smaller model that replicates the behavior of a larger teacher model, ensuring contextually relevant and grounded responses, by employing a black-box distillation approach, it creates a distilled dataset without relying on intermediate features, optimizing computational efficiency. This method significantly enhances accuracy and reduces response times, providing a balanced solution for modern document management. Incorporating advanced techniques for document ingestion and metadata utilization, ZeroG improves the accuracy of question-and-answer systems. The integration of graph databases and robust metadata management further streamlines information retrieval, allowing for precise and context-aware responses. By transforming how organizations interact with complex data, ZeroG enhances productivity and user experience, offering a scalable solution for the growing demands of digital document management.

Say Yes to Robots: AI in Legal Marketing

#artificialintelligence

A quick search of recent headlines and blog posts suggests there is anxiety surrounding artificial intelligence (AI). One article shouts, "Robots will soon do your Taxes!" Another reads, "Lawyers could be the next profession to be replaced by computers." Those of us involved in technology marketing strategy and communications are struggling to understand what the true impact of AI will be on our respective companies and clients, and on the technology-based products and services they provide. New AI applications in legal research, contracts management, or e-discovery may fundamentally change the value proposition. For those AI solutions, marketers and communications teams must strive to effectively educate prospects and customers on the nature of artificial intelligence, separating the rumors from facts.

Better, Faster, Smarter: Artificial Intelligence for Document Management

#artificialintelligence

In the 21st century, everything is moving faster. Customers zip through Google searches. Data flows into an office and out faster than employees can catch their breath. The days of manual processes, memorizing filing systems, and handing off papers from desk to desk are long gone. Modern businesses now operate in a sophisticated, dynamic, nimble environment that leverages advanced digital tools for everything from the customer experience to document management.

Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Reshape Document Management

#artificialintelligence

The amount of newly generated data keeps growing every day. From about 150 Exabytes in 2005 to almost 1200 Exabytes in 2010, we now create 2.5 quintillion bytes of data every day. This is a HUGE amount of data. Just over the last two years, we have generated 90% of all data in the world. And at this pace, by 2020, global data volume is expected to grow up to 44 zettabytes.

With all the information flying around in businesses today, M-Files has been helping businesses succeed by improving efficiency and maximizing the reusability of information by using M-Files' unique metadata-driven architecture, you can find the right document instantly with a simple keyword search. Recently, they have secured a EUR 27 million financing agreement which they plan to use for international growth, partner channel expansion along with accelerating their R&D. I was able to reach out to Miika Mรคkitalo, CEO of M-Files to ask a few questions about what they plan to do with the funding. Miika: "M-Files will use this newly secured financing to fuel our continued international growth, partner channel expansions and accelerated R&D in Europe. As the need for intelligent information management solutions grows rapidly, we are expanding our global footprint and our offices in the UK, Germany, France, Australia and the U.S. M-Files grew revenue by almost 40 percent in 2017 over 2016, including strong growth in both direct sales and through our global partner network, now numbering more than 600 partners worldwide. This financing will continue to fuel that momentum. M-Files will also use this funding to advance our intelligent information management platform, so we can continue to redefine how companies around the world manage information and data."

5 ways artificial intelligence is transforming document management

#artificialintelligence

Whether you're aware of it or not, artificial intelligence (AI) has a ubiquitous presence in our lives today โ€“ think the personalised playlists on Spotify or the'Recommended for you' lists on Netflix, both of which use AI to curate a selection tailored just for you. Now its presence is being felt in the area of document management, with AI and cognitive computing set to revolutionise the ways in which we store, archive, process and extract information. Here are 5 ways AI is transforming document management systems . Automatic classification and processing - While OCR (optical character recognition) technology allows for text recognition, AI takes this a step further by being able to "read" the information on that document, classify it correctly and automate workflows based on that classification โ€“ all at a fraction of the speed a human could. While the system is initially guided by a set of rules, its identification and processing capabilities continue to improve using machine learning, meaning it is able to learn from repeated exposure to documents, as well as from the actions taken by employees upon those documents.
